Ambassador Program
Program Objectives:
- Ambassadors are the vital public relations arm of the DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce. They are committed to mentoring, promoting, and educating new and existing chamber members while supporting the DeForest Windsor Area business community.
Eligibility:
- An Ambassador must be a member or an employee in good standing with the Chamber of Commerce.
Term:
- 2 years
Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities:
- To educate new and existing members about Chamber services, resources, and benefits of being a Chamber of Commerce member.
- To promote, serve and participate in the growth and development of the Chamber of Commerce through attendance at Chamber and community functions (i.e., ribbon cuttings, grand openings, ground breakings, open houses, networking events, monthly luncheons).
- Ambassadors will assist in the fine tuning of Chamber events, services, and benefits.
- Attend and represent the Chamber at various functions in the community.
- The Chamber will look to the Ambassador Program to create excitement, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas.
- Attend planning meetings once a month/10 per year (no July & December).
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the Annual Gala Celebration.
- Ambassadors annually host three New Member Orientations. One of which, the ambassadors will go to small businesses all around the Deforest Windsor Area and network in person with the company about potentially becoming a new ambassador for the chamber.

- Recognition and Rewards Program: we have implemented an “Ambassador of the Month” reward. By receiving this recognition, we will promote you in our newsletter which will highlight your business and overall generate brand awareness for your company.
- The ability to network and connect with other businesses to create exposure.
- A greater understanding of the Chamber and their operations
- Leadership and volunteer opportunities within the Chamber and community
- The potential to promote your own business by providing business cards and merchandise at Chamber-facilitated events.
- Annual Ambassador Event: an event held specifically for ambassadors to lead the conversation and share their experience with the Chamber and the program as well as have the time to promote their business.
- To promote, serve and participate in the growth and development of the Chamber of Commerce through attendance at Chamber and community functions (i.e., ribbon cuttings, grand openings, groundbreakings, open houses, networking events, monthly luncheons).
Chairperson:
- Elected to a two-year term by the Ambassadors with the approval of the DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
- The Chairperson will meet with Chamber Staff to plan meetings and agendas.
- Set goals with Ambassadors at an annual retreat.
- Preside at all Ambassadors’ meetings. If unable to attend, the appointed Vice-Chairperson shall preside.
- Encourage members to make contacts, attend meetings and special functions.
- Report on Club activities, plans and accomplishment of goals to the Chamber Board of Directors at least once a year.
